It's FRIDAY!!!! Now that we have studied what "agape" love is, we will take a look at what it looks like in action.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and remember to check back in on Monday.

okay, done for yesterday and today...man, you think you're doing pretty good, then you hold yourself to the true standard and realize your efforts are pretty pathetic compared to what you could do with the Lord living and loving THROUGH you...sigh

I'm still working on Rom. 12:9-21 and I'm concentrating at the moment on 17-21...here is my effort

Repay no one evil for evil. Have regard for good things in the sight of all men. If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men. Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath, for it is written, "Vengeance is mine, I will repay" saith the Lord. Therefore, if your enemy is hungry feed him, if he is thirsty give him a drink, for in so doing you will heap coals of fire on his head. Do not be overcome with evil but overcome evil with good.

okay, i only peeked twice...an improvement!

God demonstrated His love for us by sacrificing His Son on the cross.

John 17:6 Jesus revealed God to the disciples.
vs 8 - Jesus gave God's message to the disciples
vs 9 - Jesus prayed for them.
vs 12 - Jesus protected them.
vs 19 - Jesus sanctified Himself so that they could be sanctified.
vs 22 - Jesus gave us the glory that He had been given
vs 23 - Jesus came into the world.
vs 24 - He prayed that all believers may be with Him one day.
vs 26 - He made God known to us.

We ought to lay down our lives for our brother. We need to take care of the needs of our brother. We are to love in action and truth.

We are demonstrating our love by our actions and not just our words.

For God is greater than our hearts.

We receive agape from God.

We know that we live in God and God lives in us because He has given us of His Spirit.

God pours his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit.

Whoever loves God must also love his brother.

I'm done and have basically the same answers as Audrey. I'm really enjoying how much the study is showing me how much more there is always to do, but so much of the "work" is just being able to get over my own heart and be willing to take on the depth and expanse God's ways...something he'll provide if I'm willing!
