Assignment for Monday, February 9

We are just about half way through this study already! How the time flies. This week we will be looking at using our personal experiences to encourage others. It's always nice to know you are not alone in your struggles. Sometimes that's all the encouragement we need to hang on.

Keep working on the same memory verse. If I remember, I'll give us a little optional quiz on the three verses we have been working on so far. Fun times!!

I'm here!

"as each one has received a special gift, employ it in serving one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God." I Peter 4:10

Phew! I thought I had forgotten; as for the others verses??

I am back - a day late. Reasons - client meetings first thing in the morning and Jannae was sick (fever). But those are not an excuse!

#1 The rulers asked the visitors for a word of encouragement. They probably knew these men were from Jerusalem and wanted news from 'home' since they live so far away from the temple.

#2 Acts 16:40 - Paul leaves prison, knows he needs to travel more to preach, so before he leaves, he encourages those in Philippi - probably to stay faithful.
Acts 20:1 - appears the same as 16:40
I am not sure that these verses support her premise. These verses
appear to teach that before you leave, especially on a long journey, encourage those you are leaving - say goodbye.

And as each one receives a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. 1 Peter

I peeked at Jennifer's - 1 Peter 4:10.

Please remember Jannae - looks like her fever is going to last another day.
