Assignment for Wednesday, February 4

I really love the story in today's assignment. What a great way to encourage people and have fun at the same time! Today's assignment is to answer questions 4, 5, and 6.

And as each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. 1 Peter 4:10

4. Peter tells us to use our gifts to serve one another, build each other up

5. Paul tells Timothy to "stir up" the gift in him...to do everything he can to remind himself why he has the gift and what it's for and to be enthusiastic about it...not to ever forget he has it, not to forget to use it.

6. The most famous encourager is Barnabas.

As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God...I Pet. 4:10
(had to peek, need a lot of work)

Done for today.

"As each one has a special gift, use it for the edification of others, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God." I Peter 4:10 (okay, I messed that up!)

Done for yesterday and today. My biggest thing to remember in this lesson is that by using the gifts God gave me, I'm letting him and his grace shine through me, and the world so needs to see Him shining wherever/whenever they can. It's not about me, it's about Him.

Reading Tammy post reminding me of one of the side panels in today's lesson. I liked the thought that God made me with these gifts and I need to use them. And not try to force other gifts on myself.

It goes back to the fact - God made me special and I need to be grateful for my gifts (both the ones I like and those other ones ;) ).

Sometimes I wish I was like someone else with their certain strengths. Forgeting my own strengths (usually just focusing on my weaknesses).

(More is in my head but I can't seem to get it out without making goobily-gook. Hope you can see what I am thinking)
