Assignment for Friday, February 20

It's Friday again! The Friday posters will be happy to know that there isn't really an answer to the Digging Deeper excersize that needs to be posted. So for today, answer question 9 and then comment on any thoughts you might have after studying the Digging Deeper assignment. Can you find a practical application to share with the rest of us?

I don't totally understand what she is asking in question 9 and how the verse answers that question. What I get out of this verse though is that none of us has ever seen God, but when we love those around us, we can feel God's presence and His love is made perfect in us.

Digging Deeper

I guess the main thing I get out of this verse is that I really have no excuse for not loving someone. If God can love me even with all the little annoying habits that I have, how can I refuse to love someone that may annoy me? I've most definitely made mistakes in my life, and He has provided a way for me to be forgiven through sending His Son to die for me. This is true and perfect love. How can I hold a grudge against someone who is repentant in a wrong that they have committed against me and not reach out and love them? It would be a slap in the face to God.
