Done with my reading for today (I did do my Acts worksheet yesterday).

I always find the little discrepencies interesting among the writers of the gospels. Like near the end, when Jesus is at dinner in Bethany. Matthew and Mark both say the dinner was at Simon's house, John just states that Martha served and Lazarus attended. Matthew and Mark just call her a woman, but John states that it was Mary, sister of Lazarus, who uses the expensive oil to "anoint" Jesus. Matthew and Mark say she poured the oil on his head, John says it was his feet. Was it both head and feet or were there two different dinners? And there is another one recorded much earlier in Luke, which must have been a different time altogether. That one is attributed a "sinner", whom some claim to be mary magdalene, but I see no proof of that. Anyway, just some interesting differences...it doesn't bother me in the least, just fun to puzzle over.
