It's Friday again! We'll finish up our week by looking at how the gospel defined the lives of the Colossians and how it should define our lives.

it' been a good week...I like the thoroughness and variety of the study so far. The author is good at showing you just how much you can get out of each book, each chapter, each verse.

Done for today. I too have liked the study so far, and the work load so far is about perfect. I feel like I am getting a lot out of just a few verses, and really understanding them, versus trying to cover so much each day.

Okay, here are my answers for today...
1a-Before-The Colossians were without Christ, part of darkness but are now believers (indicating they've been baptized, committed thier lives to serving Him), were forgiven of their sins
b- Present- Colossians still seeking Him and growing in Him. The gospel is bearing fruit through them. They are continuing their in faith and love for one another
c- Future- They'll live lives worthy of the Lord if they continue to seek Him. They'll receive the inheritance of the saints (heaven!)
2- Growing up with God in my life has been a HUGE gift, but I still have SO MUCH growing left to do. I've definately still been guilty of living a life that's all about me and didn't even vaguely understand the depth of God's love and grace for me. I didn't understand what being a Christian was about, I just believed it was the right thing to do. I feel like I'm slowly realizing/discovering the unimaginable love God has for me. I hope my life becomes completely His, where my faith/trust doesn't depend so much on my circumstance as I feel like it does right now. I want to be completely His with a faith that is unwaivering ALL the time!
