thanks for the permission to just start back up, Debbie--I have been popping in, but honestly I am drowning a little in life right now!
Here are the answers I have for today--
1a. all 3 of these were found in the verses--but correct me if I'm wrong here--I have chosen to change her description of sinful nature to sinful desire
b.the ruler of the kingdom of the air (I assume this means Satan?)
c. being disobedient means gratifying the cravings of our sinful desire and following it's thoughts
d. God made us alive in Christ when we were dead in sin
e. because of God's great love for us
f.our present position is (i'm a little confused here) the verse says raised us up & seated us in the heavenly realms--but I assume that raised up is after we die and are resurrected??
g. grace expressed in His kindness to us in Christ Jesus
h. we were created to do good works which God prepared in advance for us
2. I assume the common denominator she is referring to is predestination--I would think this means that God has foreknowledge, not that he decides beforehand because if He decides beforehand-there is no point in free will
3. The parallel in this parable is that Jesus (or God??) has gone on a journey and has entrusted his word to us--what will we do with it??
4. same:
something is given to each
what is given is determined by the master
different: the values put on things given in Matt
the manifestations of the spirit given in 1 Cor

5a.I guess I think we will be told "well done" when we have acted with faith and works and therefore show faithfulness, performance, and results--sometimes only results God can see
b. God will put us in charge of many things and we will share in His happiness
6.I think it doesn't matter if it is fair or not--it is God's will. God is the true judge of fairness and righteousness and He will judge us with grace--if we are looking for fairness we will all end up in Hell because we have all sinned.
7. We are to guard the treasure we have been entrusted with--I assume this is God's word, our children, our faith, even in a way our conscience--with the Spirit who lives in us.
8. I think I am working to guard my children every day in teaching them about God, forgiveness, understanding, love, etc. I try to guard God's word by going to it for answers and I struggle with loving to read it--but I am continually trying to find a love for that too. I like going to it for answers of course, but it is hard for me to just sit down and read for some reason.
