Assignment for Thursday, January 29

More on growing up today...do questions 6 and 7. Have any of you ever had a friend that told you something about yourself you hadn't consciously recognized - something not too pleasant? I have. It made me mad. Then it made me sad when I recovered from my mad and realized she was right. It was one of the nicest things she could have done for me. Are we brave enough to help others grow?

Done for today and tomorrow.

My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.

James 1:2-3

Ok. So, here are my answers for today.
6. "growing up" appears in our lives when our faith is growing and our love for eachother is increasing--both of which take work.
7. If we choose to "plant" those things in our lives that encourage our sinful desires (lying, deceit, adultery, etc) we are going to reap destruction. But, if we choose to "plant" things in our lives that will please God-studying, faithfully acting on the things we are commanded to do, praying, loving eachother, helping eachother, etc- then we are going to one day reap eternal life
And, to answer your question, Debbie (or Debs as Hallie likes to call you (-:) Yes, I have had someone point out things that I was doing that were not right--mostly in regards to attitude, and I was not happy--actually I was SHOCKED she would even have the audacity to tell me such awful things!! But, she was right, and I have worked on changing those things for over 10 years now!
