I hope you all had a relaxing holiday yesterday. On days like that we need to take time to be very thankful for all the physical blessings we have in this country. But the most important blessings we have are spiritual which we receive because of Jesus. Today we will continue to spend some time looking at who this amazing person is.
Lesson Three, Day Three

1. ALL. All things were created through Him, for Him; He is before all and He binds all things together. It shows me that God's plan always included Jesus -- that this creation belongs entirely to Christ -- just as the Father wishes.
2. He created everything in Heaven and Earth, things we can see and things we can't; He "holds ALL things together," which means that without Him EVERYTHING falls apart.
3. a. This passage in Hebrews reiterates that Christ is God's heir, that the world was made through Him; that He represents the Father's wishes, designs and plans EXACTLY and that He "upholds all things" in the creation -- here we read that He does that through his word. (Awesome!)
b. This passage in John confirms that Christ was there in the beginning and that no part of creation was made without Him. Christ was the WORD, in flesh; He also brought LIFE and LIGHT to mankind (which reinforces the idea that we are held together by Him.)
