Keep those comments coming. It's weird to post this so far in advance. I don't know what to write!

Sorry, Ladies. My Martha: Mary ratio is too high this week! :)
1. “Hupomone means “to persevere; remain under, bear up under. It refers to that quality of character which does not allow one to surrender to circumstances or succumb under trial. It is endurance in relation to things or circumstances.
2. Hope inspired hupomone.
3. While Noah constructed the ark, God waited patiently for the disobedient people of the world to repent.
4. God saw that the wickedness of man was great; that every intent of the thoughts of man’s heart was only evil continually.
5. People were so evil that the earth was filled with violence.
6. God was sorry He had made man; He grieved in His heart.
7. If we imagine the joy of giving birth to a perfect baby compared to the grief we would feel if that child grew to be violent, depraved and totally corrupt – and then imagine that every one of our children followed that model – we would have a small taste of what God must have felt.
8. Noah was righteous and blameless. He walked with God.
9. Righteousness comes from walking with God; it’s possible even if I am the only human left who chooses to walk that path.
10. God “would not strive forever” with that generation. 120 years? (That’s interesting; I’ve never looked at that verse as meaning that was how long God would wait for the disobedient of Noah’s generation to repent. I think I heard someone theorize that this meant that people wouldn’t live much longer than 120 years. I guess I’m a little confused by it.)
11. Noah preached righteousness.
12. God promised to never again destroy all flesh with flood waters. He created the rainbow as a sign of this covenant.
13. “The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.”
14. “Bear in mind that our Lord’s patience means salvation.”
