Assignment for Tuesday, March 3

It's Tuesday! Time for a new assignment and a new memory verse. We will spend the rest of this study working on memorizing Romans 12:9-21 - or as much of it as we can. This week let's concentrate on verses 9 and 10 only. So your assignment for today is to answer questions 2 and 3, and start memorizing Romans 12:9-10. Have fun!

Did today's lesson yesterday so I am done for today.

I don't know if this old brain will be able to learn 13 verses. I will use the method Jannae was taught in school - read the whole passage out loud twice, every day. It works for her (and her young brain). I'll give it a try.

2. In Ephesians, Paul encourages us to lay aside all falsehood, speaking the truth to each other; in Colossians he tells us not to lie to each other.

3. There are two reasons listed here for why we should be truthful to each other: because we are members of one another and because, as such, we have laid aside the old self and its evil practices.

I'll start working on the new memory verse today!

These verses point out something about encouraging others - it must not be flattery. It must be a true compliment or even a true rebuke done in love.
