Hello ladies. Keep those posts coming. I'm in Acts now and speeding through a little faster than our medweek class. Reading it again at a faster pace really complements the studying we have already done.
done for today. My study is focusing on becoming less self centered and listening for those around you who are drowning--focused on Phill 2:3-4 mainly. I think this is something I need reminded of yearly-or monthly-or weekly--to never be so preoccupied with myself that I am not "hearing" (or seeing) the cries of others. The author notes that even as Christ hung on the cross he was concerned about those hanging next to Him and those around Him. Very interesting and humbling all at the same time. I often figure if someone needs help they will ask for it--but maybe I am not listening closely enough. Maybe they are asking for it in a way that I am not directly picking up on. So-a goal for my week is to be more in-tune to those who are drowning and are not being helped.

That's a great goal, Sarah. Often drowning people just go quietly.
