Good morning, ladies! I hope your holiday was pleasant. I spent it being dizzy, visiting the bathroom frequently, and fighting a headache. lol Oh well. I'm thankful every day is not like that.

Boy, am I confused! I always do this after a holiday weekend -- I just finished Monday's study (and Friday's). I still need to do today's study, though. Don't give up on me -- I WILL post! :)

1. Paul and Peter were arrested after Paul cast a spirit from a slave girl, which interfered with her master's profit.
2. Silas seems only to have been guilty of this "crime" by association.
3. They were beaten, disrobed, imprisoned and placed in stocks.
4. They prayed and sang songs of praise to God.
5. The other prisoners listened to them sing and pray.
6. God shook the earth, opened the jail doors and unfastened the chains of the prisoners.
7. Paul stopped the jailer from killing himself.
8. The jailer and his whole family were converted to Christ.
9. Paul considered everything else as "rubbish" compared the the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus.
10. Stephen was filled with the Holy Spirit.
11. God is with me during every struggle. It's always easier to see that once I'm looking at things from the other side!
12. "And you will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart." Jeremiah 29:13

done for yesterday and today...

Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good. Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another; not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer; distributing to the needs of the saints, given to hospitality; rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep. Do not set your mind on high things, but associate with the humble, do not be proud (?) in your own opinion. Do not repay evil for evil. If it is possible, as much as depends on you live peaceably with all men. Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath, thus saith the Lord, "Vengeance is mine, I will repay." Therefore, if your enemy is hungry, feed him, if he is thirsty give him a drink. For in doing so you will heap coals of fire upon his head. Do not be over come with evil, but overcome evil with good.

I will have to look up and see where i messed up...

I just heard that an old friend of ours, Duane Wolfe, was killed in Iraq. Christian, elder, husband, father of three grown children. A good man that will be sorely missed by many. Please pray for his family, I'm sure they're devastated.

Good job with the memory verse, Ann. It's coming right along. We also received word from a member of your friend's congregation that he was killed. We didn't know him but our relative who did thought highly of him.

Hi, ladies, I am back. So sorry I dropped off last week, migrane had me down for a couple of days (related to my sinus surgery). Debbie, I hope you are feeling better, I know how you are feeling! I am done for today and am almost done with Monday's lesson.
