Let's see how rusty I am. I'll confess I was lax over the last week, but have tried to get these verses back in my mind over the past couple of days. Here goes:

Let love be without hypocrisy; abhor what is evil, cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in brotherly love, give preference to one another in honor, not lagging behind in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; rejoicing in hope, persevering in tribulation, devoted to prayer; contributing to the needs of the saints, practicing hospitality. Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep; Be of the same mind toward one another; be not haughty in mind, but associate with the lowly. Do not be wise in your own estimation. Never pay back evil for evil to anyone. Respect what is right in the sight of all men...

(okay, I peeked when I got stuck on "respect") :)

Sorry, that was me. (Bryan would be very pleasantly surprised to know he had memorized that passage!)

Well, now. I'm glad you clarified your identity! lol

OK - this is for Ann. My own efforts.

Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good. Be kindly affectioned to one another with brotherly kindness, not lagging in diligence, fervant in spirit, serving the Lord. Bless those who persecute you. Bless and do not curse. Rejoice with those who rejoice. Weep with those who weep. Be of the same mind with one another. Do not set your mind on high things, but associate with the humble. Do not be wise in your own opinion. (This is now where I get stuck for a minute.) Do not repay evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men. Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves but rather give place to wrath. For is it written, "Vengeance is mine. I will repay, saith the Lord." Therefore if your enemy is hungry, feed him, if he is thirsty, give him drink. For in so doing you shall heap coals of fire on his head. Be not overcome with evil, but overcome evil with good.

Now you need to know that I had to switch versions in the middle as what I took into the canyon was KJV and what I started learning before the canyon was NKJV so that's why I become so poetic at the end. hahaha
