done for today

Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good. Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another; not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; Rom. 12:9-11
(is that last phrase right?)

I noticed a whole list of books that are similar-type study books in the back of the one we're studying, if that helps with suggestions...

2. John is addressing three age groups: Fathers, young men and little children (some translate as boys or "lads").

3. The Hebrew writer asks them to listen patiently, pay close attention, or "bear" with his message.

"Let love be without hypocrisy; abhor evil, cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in brotherly love, give preference to one another in honor. Not lagging behind in diligence, with fervor (?)..."

(..fervent in spirit, fervent in spirit, fervent in spirit...) :)

I have enjoyed this book a lot, even though I missed several weeks of it. I would like to pursue one of the similar books that Ann mentions are at the back of the book.

done for today. I liked the author we had the last few times better than this one. I have also been hearing a lot about Beth Ann Moore--but I am not sure how "out there" she is-- or if she's pretty normal.
