Thursday and beyond

Hello ladies. You have probably heard by now that Dave and I are traveling out of state to his grandma's funeral so I may not be able to post while I am there so just continue to post your posts here so you continue to encourage each other while I am away.

Feeling pretty good this morning. Read Ps 120-127.

120 - Praying to get away from sinners (liars and those wanting war)
121 - My help is always from the Lord
122 - Praise for Jerusalem
123 - Look to God for mercy
124 - The lord is with us; He is our help
125 - Trust God, He protects, He blesses, He judges
126 - Rejoice! God has done great things for us
127- It is worthless to go against the Lord; children are a blessing

Monday - 26th. Read Ps 128-134

128 - Blessid is he who fears the Lord
130 - Wait on the Lord
131 - Be at peace; be content
132 - The covenant with David
133 - Blessed unity
134 - Praise the Lord

I hope to take it easy enough today that I don't need a nap in the afternoon (smile). I continue to be surprised at how tired I get.

Julie Julie Julie...hope you are LETTING yourself rest! :)
Done for today--my study is focusing on what perfect love is and how as it described in 1 Cor 13 we never master it this side of heaven-but need to constantly seek to improve ourselves. It was actually really good to realize not only HOW FAR I need to go (ummm...not very good at several of the areas in that verse even though I thought I was) but I also realized how far I am slowly coming. The author also noted that God is not glorified when we only love those who love us (even the tax collectors do this!) but he IS glorified when we practice loving those who aren't kind or who have deeply hurt us. The author challenged me to make sure when I am faced with a trial/someone is hurting me to remember not to moan and grumble but to love them through it--after all God has loved me through a LOT!

Thanks for the reminder (again!), Sarah. I think I am finally realizing that rest is needed now. Yesterday I was doing the 'clean up' work of tax season and only 3 hours of work wore me out. So I stopped and rested even though I have more to do. Realized it will wait.

I woke early this morning and did my reading - Psalm 135-145.
