Assignment for October 20

Good morning or afternoon or evening!

Yesterday's lesson was a little long. Today's is short. Feel free to post any prayer requests that are appropriate to share so we can all pray together.

I have a prayer request: I have an 86-year-old pen pal. We've only met one time but have been writing to each other for almost 12 years. She's very sweet but was raised without any knowledge of Christ or the Bible. I've shared my faith with her and she's kind about it, but hasn't shown any purposeful interest. Last month she wrote and told me she has cancer.
Drew, who has a gift for expressing honestly what we all feel sometimes but won't say, is so worried that she won't go to Heaven. He keeps asking me, "Did you tell her about Jesus again?" He even wrote her a thank you card for something she sent him and asked her if she had been baptized.
SO. I ask for your prayers for Alma, that this circumstance with her health will cause her to look to God and that when I write to her, I will conduct myself with wisdom, making the most of that opportunity; that my speech will be with grace and "tasty" to Alma.
Also, pray for Drew, please. We know that some will not respond even when Jesus is knocking. I'm worried about how he will take things if Alma passes away in her current spiritual condition.

That was a LONG prayer request! Thank you!
